TidyBooks began like many small businesses do, at a kitchen table, with kids playing in the background and a spreadsheet open on the laptop. Kim and Heidi met through family, bonded over motherhood and mutual brainpower, and quickly realized they shared something rare: a love of organizing chaos and a deep belief in doing work that actually helps people.

We started TidyBooks to cover the cost of piano lessons. No big plans, just a few clients and a desire to do excellent work. In just three years, we grew from 3 clients to serving over 50 incredible businesses across industries, time zones, and financial messes of every kind. All happened through word-of-mouth.

Now, TidyBooks is a full-service bookkeeping firm serving entrepreneurs, medical practices, and family-owned businesses across the country. We’ve grown, hired an incredible team, and built systems that scale. However, our roots remain the same: deep relationships, consistent follow-through, and showing up as the kind of financial partners we always wished existed.
